Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd recently launched its flagship smartphone, Galaxy S (Model: GT-I9000) in Malaysia and is partnering with Maxis Berhad to offer competitive bundled service packages.

Powered by Android, the smartphone features Samsung´s 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 1 GHz application processor.

Additionally, it uses mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image Engine) technology, a technology used in Samsung´s best-selling LCD and LED TVs, for even sharper and crisper viewing experience.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S features an integrated social networking solution that brings all contacts and social networks together with messaging, enabling users to receive updates in real time.

It integrates all contact information and activities from up to 10 social media networks, business and personal e-mail or calendar accounts. It simplifies all these functions, giving users instant finger-tip access to their entire social network.

The Galaxy S also features Samsung´s TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, with Swype for text entry. The integrated experience is further enabled through intuitive, integrative features, including the rich augmented reality browser, Layar, and advanced location-based service capabilities.

Maxis will be packaging the Galaxy S with special offers from RM1,699 with Maxis Value Plus plans and a data bundle.
