Maxis offering unlimited music downloads with new ONEMusic service


You can download music & music videos on your computer via the Maxis ONEMusic website


An Android & iPhone app will also soon be available for Maxis ONEMusic service

Maxis subscribers now have a new music download service called ONEMusic, a multi-channel, multi-platform, multimedia music service that offers an all-you-can-eat approach.

The ONEMusic download service has local and international music in all genres in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and Tamil that can be downloaded through your mobile phone or personal computer.

Available for RM8 a month, the music service span both songs and music videos and can be enjoyed across a choice of connected devices, said Jean-Pascal van Overbeke, Maxis´ chief operating officer.

"Whatever your choice of device, whether you choose to spend more time on the move or at home, so long as you want on-demand music which you can downlload for permanent access to your device libraries, ONEMusic will give you this," he said.

Meanwhile, Maxis´ vice president and head of product, devices and innovation, T. Kugam, said that there are about 20,000 to 30,000 content available in the ONEMusic service.

He added that users can permanently keep the music and that although protected by DRM (digital rights management) the content can be synchronised with up to five devices.

Maxis customers can subscribe to ONEMusic by sending "On ONEMusic" to 29000 through SMS, by going to or by dialling *100# for Easy Menu.

Additionally, an iPhone and Android mobile app for the service will soon be available for download.

ONEMusic is also offered as a value-added service inside select Maxis Good Service wired broadband bundles, together with free modems and residential gateways.

Also at the launch were hit artistes such as Mizz Nina, Sofaz, KOTAK, Projek Pistol, Ezad Lazim, Emcee Jesz, Imran Ajmain, Soo Wincci, One Buck Short, Love Me Butch, Cdnaz, Violent Rose, Wu Jia Hui, Jay, Kraft, Coco and Daus.
