ViewSonic recently launched the ViewPad 7, a multi-touch, all-in-one tablet powered by Google Android 2.2, as well as the dual-boot ViewPad 10 in Malaysia.
The ViewPad 7 is a 7-inch tablet with a multi-touch screen, full mobile phone functionality, computer and gaming capabilities.
Powered by Google Android 2.2 operating system, it features 3.5G HSDPA/HSUPA services and comes with 3G video call functions as well as GPS navigation. It also supports high resolution images and comes with dual stereo speakers.
The ViewPad 7 also has two webcams -- a 3-megapixel back camera and a VGA front-camera. It can also receive voice commands and through advanced voice recognition, e-mail addresses, software, documents and web pages can be quickly accessed.
Meanwhile, exclusive Documents to Go software package helps you complete daily tasks with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF software, while the built-in GPS/AGPS helps you find the best way to your destination and other places of of interest. The ViewPad 7 supports microSD card for maximum 32GB storage.
"The ViewPad 7 supports high-resolution images and dual stereo speakers, allowing users to enjoy unparalleled visual effects that smartphones cannot offer and a slimmer network experience which other netbooks cannot provide. Through Android Market, users can download various applications to personalise their ViewPad 7," said Kai Wang, ViewPad Product Manager of ViewSonic EMEA & Asia Pacific Region.
On the other hand, the ViewPad 10 is a 10.1-inch dual-boot Wi-Fi device that gives you a choice between Windows 7 Home Premium and Google Android operating system within the same device.
It comes with an Intel Atom N455 processor, 1GB of memory, 16GB SSD hard drive and an expandable micro SD slot.
Additionally, the 1024x600 LED backlit panel includes a G-sensor and capacitive multi-touch for intuitive navigation. Other features include a 1.3-megapixel webcam with built-in microphone.
The ViewSonic ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 10 is expected to be available in Malaysia in the middle of December.
The ViewPad 7 is priced at RM1,799, while the ViewPad 10 is priced at RM1,999.
