Olympus introduces new FE digital camera models into Malaysia

In its 2009 Autumn-Winter Collection, Olympus introduces three new FE models for the Malaysian market -- the FE-46, FE-4010 and the FE-5020.
The newest feature is the 24mm super-wide lens on the FE-5020, while the FE-4010 has a 26mm wide angle lens. Also, high-powered zoom lenses within the slim camera body allow the user to shoot subjects across a wider range.
The FE series also has a choice selection of automated functions including the iAUTO (Intelligent Auto) function which automatically optimises the camera´s settings to best suit the scene being shot.
Additionally, there are also four Magic Filter effects -- POP, Sketch, Fish-eye and pin-hole -- that can transform ordinary scenes into powerful, evocative images. Special effects can be enjoyed on the spot without having to download into the computer and any additional software.
On the other hand, AF Tracking makes it easier to shoot fast-moving subjects. The camera tracks the moving subject automatically and keeps it in focus throughout so that the user can image it with optimum focus and brightness (exposure) simply by pressing the shutter button at any time during tracking.
The FE-5020 incorporates a 5x optical zoom lens whilst the FE-4010 features a 4x optical zoom lens. In turn, the FE-46 also features 5x optical zoom lens.
These new models also feature the new finishing of a Double-Layered Crystal Shell exterior. The clear transparent acrylic shell that encases the camera constantly changes colour and appearance.
Other user-friendly features include selectable scene modes and various automated functions such as still image editing function that can compensate for backlit images and red-eye even after shooting.
The FE-4010 and FE-5020 come with an 8GB Micro SD and the FE-46 with a 2GB xD-Picture Card, huge memory space for all those fun, exploratory occasions. The FE-4010 is available in pear white, dark grey and magenta, while the FE-5020 is available in pearl white, dark grey and wine red.
Prices range from RM499 for FE-46, RM699 for FE4010 and RM799 for FE-5020.
