Salina Jaffar says with the new service, bus operators are required to be Net-savvy

Those who plan to travel can now book their tickets online. They have a choice of now have eight express bus operators to choose from. MyTicket Hub Sdn Bhd is providing the online service through Travellers can now click their choices via Axcess Ezbus.

The eight bus express operators are Senibudaya Express, Suasana Edaran, Starmart Express, Konsortium Bas Melayu Klang, Prestij Dinasti, Darul Naim Expres, Sri Jengka and Eagle Express.

The number of express bus expressway operators listed on the website doubled last year, said MyTicket Hub executive director Salina Jaffar.

"The additional buses will cater for the increase in demand for travel to the northern, southern and east coast regions especially during festive and school holidays.

She said the demand for the East Coast destinations are coming from university and college students.

"The online ticketing system is a convenient way for consumers to purchase tickets.

After making their bookings, the buyers public can collect the tickets at Axcess ticketing counters, which also sell bus tickets.

Salina said under the online scheme, becasthe online ticketing scheme, bus operators are equipped with trained to be use basic computer skills so as to be able to keep data records, make inventory checks and do book keeping.

"Our target is to have about 15 to 20 bus operators registered on our website by year-end.

Salina said the company has also included information such as bus schedules and promotion prices and discounts.
