Technology adds a lot of new vocabulary to the dictionary. The term ´phablet´, for example, was coined to describe a device that is a mixture of a phone and tablet. While the convertible laptop-tablet devices have yet to find their own specific term yet (Laplet? Lablet? Tabtop?), there is no denying that these hybrid devices, with detachable and flexible screens, are the future of conventional laptops. At the end of April, Lenovo launched one such convertible laptop-tablet in Malaysia, the ThinkPad Helix. Targeted at business professionals, the 1.7kg Helix has a "rip and flip" design, which allows the device to be aligned in four modes.

Apple´s new iMac available through the Apple Store04 May 2011  
There are some new iMacs in town, one that´s been upgraded with next-generation quad-core processors, powerful new graphics a FaceTime HD camera and new Thunderbolt technology. Apple says that it is up to 70 percent faster and new graphics deliver up to three times the performance of the previous generation.
